We have moved from “post a link and hope” to content that pre-sells. The creators winning right now are not acting like billboards, they are acting like translators. They take a product and explain:

and when it’s not worth it
That level of clarity builds trust, and trust is what converts.

Good affiliate content is that context. It shortens the decision-making process in a way a product page alone never can.
Another reason it still works: you don’t need to create your own product to monetize your content. You can plug into existing offers that are already converting, and focus your energy on the part that matters most, which is connecting the right people to the right solution.
And finally, affiliate marketing works because it scales quietly. One strong piece of content can keep generating clicks and commissions long after you hit publish. It is not always loud or viral, but it is consistent.
